Looking for something to do in the area? Check out the Warren Cultural Center. First opened in 1896, the Warren Center is an opera house that has hosted some of the biggest names of the early 20th century. Placed on the National Historic Register in 1979, a massive restoration process enabled the Center to open its doors again in 2012, serving as a multi-use facility.
According to the Warren Cultural Center website, the building hosts a number of events. These include art shows and musicians, many of which are local. Ed and Eva Warren, the founders, also opened a retail shop that is home to a number of historic photographs, artwork, and more. If you’re looking for something the whole family can enjoy, stop by the Warren Cultural Center.
One upcoming event is the Max Wellman Trio, which will perform on November 19th. Reminiscent of the Big Band era, Wellman has had success with multiple albums, includes Comes Love in 2009 and You Must Believe in Spring in 2014. If you love musicians like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Harry Connick Jr., you’re bound to enjoy the work of Max Wellman.
This is just one of many events that are regularly held at the Warren Cultural Center. Follow us on Twitter for more about Warren Cultural Center events!
