2016 Chevrolet Volt Debut Rocks Detroit at 2015 NAIAS

After releasing multiple teaser images and videos—not to mention giving the public a 30-second sneak peek—Chevrolet has finally introduced the newest Chevrolet Volt. The 2016 Chevrolet Volt debut took place last week at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) and introduced the industry to a better looking, better performing plug-in hybrid.

“The 2016 Chevrolet Volt provides our owners with a no-compromise electric driving experience,” said Alan Batey, president of GM North America. “We believe our engineering prowess combined with data from thousands of customers allows us to deliver the most capable plug-in vehicle in the industry.”

Say bye-bye to the old rear styling of the Chevy Volt

And capable, the newest Chevrolet Volt definitely is. The two-motor drive unit is 12% more efficient than its predecessor, while also being 100 pounds lighter. The 1.5-liter range extender engine has an EPA-rated fuel economy of 41 mpg by itself. The new five-passenger seating offers more room than ever before, while the quieter ride makes the cabin more comfortable.

The 2016 Chevrolet Volt goes on sale in the second half of 2015. Until then, stop in to Stalker Chevrolet to see what other vehicles our brand has to offer!
