Chevrolet Sweeps in J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study

The 2015 Chevrolet Impala was one of Chevrolet’s multiple vehicles to receive high marks in the J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study.

Chevy dominated the J.D. Power 2015 U.S. Initial Quality StudySM, taking four number one spots, and 10 Chevy models in Top 3 positions – a feat not matched by any other brand (foreign or domestic).

The Chevrolet Malibu, Equinox, Silverado LD, and Spark ranked highest in their respective segments, while the Camaro, Impala, Silverado HD, Sonic, Traverse, and Tahoe all earned a Top 3 score for their segments.

“We are constantly challenging ourselves to bring to market the highest-quality products for our customers, regardless of the type of vehicle they purchase,” said Alan Batey, global Chevrolet president in a statement. “Quality studies like this one tell us we are moving in the right direction.”

The J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study surveys more than 86,000 car purchasers and lessees of new 2015 models at 90 days of ownership. The 233-question survey is designed to determine how happy buyers are with the quality of their brand-new vehicles, and provide feedback to car manufacturers so that timely improvements can be made.
