There are a number of admirable things about the new 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. For instance, its smaller, maneuverable size and roomy cabin provide the best of both worlds. It also features a generous list of standard features, like the Chevy MyLink infotainment system and 7-inch touch screen. But, one of the most remarkable things about the new 2018 Chevrolet Equinox is its engine lineup, which includes something unusual—a diesel option.
Here are what 2018 Chevrolet Equinox diesel details we know thus far.
The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox with the diesel engine has not yet been tested by the EPA. However, Chevrolet is estimating that this little crossover could get up to 39 mpg highway when it’s equipped with the turbo-diesel engine. That would put the Chevrolet Equinox at the head of its segment in fuel efficiency, which is exciting news.
Not only do we expect the turbo-diesel powered Chevy Equinox to be efficient, but we also think it will deliver a fun ride. The diesel engine boasts 240 lb-ft of torque, so acceleration should be consistently responsive.
The all-new 2018 Chevrolet Equinox will be available with its all-new turbo-diesel engine at Stalker Chevrolet later this year. We hope you’ll join us for a test drive of perhaps the most exciting new vehicle in the crossover/SUV segment.
It’s an age-old question: how do you prepare a healthy school lunch that your kids will actually eat? With these simple school lunch tips from Stalker Chevrolet, you can have your kids eating well all year long.
If you want to send your kids to school with something they’ll enjoy, you’ve got to be realistic. Don’t send them your favorite lunch. Instead, talk with them once a month to see what they’re interested in trying. Bring the kids grocery shopping with you so they can pick out the vegetables and proteins they like.
Most of the things you’ll be sending along in lunches can be prepared ahead over the weekend. For instance, you can chop up veggies, wash fruit, or make a batch of pasta, soup, or rice. Get the simple stuff out of the way and your morning rush will be all the easier.
Keep the Kids Involved
Their job isn’t over when you leave the grocery store. If you have plenty of fresh options to choose from, your kids will have fun putting together sandwiches and snacks that they know they will enjoy. Their thoughtful lunch will be the talk of the cafeteria, and you’ll never find a backpack with another rejected sandwich in it again.
The Chevrolet Camaro is undoubtedly one of the most powerful muscle cars in the industry, but the upcoming model may prove that Chevrolet has officially outdone itself. The 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE brings more performance and an aerodynamic design that allows it to lap the Nurburgring faster than some supercars.
The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE boasts a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that delivers 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, a perfect 1:1 balance. That kind of performance leads to a 0-to-60 mph time of just 3.6 seconds. As for the infamous Nurburgring, the Camaro ZL1 1LE conquered it in just 7 minutes and 16 seconds. That’s a faster time than its Corvette sibling and every Ferrari on the road.
Aiding the high-powered Camaro’s performance is an advanced aerodynamic design unlike any other, with a package that comes complete with a carbon fiber rear wing. The design itself was tested in a Formula 1 wind tunnel that added 300 pounds of downforce at a whopping 150 mph.
The upcoming model packs in plenty of performance-driven gear, including an onboard Chevrolet Personal Data Recorder and a specialized suspension.
We here at Stalker Chevrolet can’t wait to see the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE burn rubber in person.
The Chevrolet Colorado has proven itself to be one of the most capable trucks in the industry, but now it’s facing its greatest challenge yet. The United States Army traverses some of the toughest landscapes that the world has to offer. As such, they need a vehicle that can conquer the roughest terrain imaginable. The Chevrolet Colorado ZH2 army truck is the vehicle for the job.
The Chevrolet Colorado ZH2 army truck is silent, sneaky, and tough. The model is powered by a hydrogen fuel-cell electric powertrain that’s silent and produces water as its only emission. That’s a near-180-degree turn, green-energy-wise, from the current diesel-powered Humvees the army currently uses.
The big Humvees haven’t given the army a reputation for being silent, but the Colorado ZH2 could change that. The large mud tires, silent powertrain, and near-invisible heat profile make it a hard vehicle to detect.
The prototype is currently undergoing a year of testing by the army in some of the roughest conditions imaginable. The truck will make its way to a number of army bases throughout the country as it proves it mettle time and time again.
If testing proves successful, we may very well be looking at the next generation of army transport vehicles.
We here at Stalker Chevrolet are proud to see such a capable truck undergoing testing in the field.
Gearing up for a vacation away on the beach? Keep these summer driving tips in mind.
Service Your Vehicle in Advance
Before you head out on any big trips that will put a lot of miles on the odometer, have your car inspected by a mechanic who can perform any upcoming maintenance you need to do and check for potential safety hazards. You don’t want to be stuck on the side of the road with a broken-down car.
Keep Kids in the Backseat
All children under 13 years old should ride in the back seat. Additionally, any children who meet the criteria for being in a car seat should be in a properly-installed car seat. You can check NHTSA’s website for tips on how to select the proper car seat and install it correctly.
Take Breaks and Stay Alert
While that dream vacation may only technically be a 6-hour drive away, it’s hard on any driver to stay behind the wheel for a consecutive 6 hours. If you have another legal driver with you, take turns driving. Take breaks for everyone to get out, stretch, and eat, and make sure you’re in good condition to pay attention to other drivers on the road.
Share the Road
Summertime means cyclists, runners, and motorcycles will be out on the road. Don’t be that driver who hogs the road.
Follow these summer driving tips from us at Stalker Chevrolet for a stress-free road trip.
Buying your first car can be a daunting process if you don’t have anyone to help you through the process. It’s actually simpler than you think.
Decide What You Can Afford
A good rule of thumb for this one is determining what kind of loan you’d be able to pay off in three years. Consider your income, your other monthly payments and financial obligations, and how much you have saved for a down payment.
We at Stalker Chevrolet have a diverse inventory of reliable, versatile Chevy nameplates, and our friendly staff will be happy to walk you through the process. We also have used vehicles if you’d prefer the more affordable price tag.
Wrap Up the Process
Once you’ve been pre-approved and have a vehicle in mind, it’s time to finish up. Contact your bank with the final details concerning the loan, then register the vehicle and transfer the title.
Have any more questions about buying your first car? Don’t hesitate to swing by our dealership at Stalker Chevrolet.
Before a new model can hit production, it has to be thoroughly road tested in the real world. However, automakers don’t want to give away their design secrets, so they use camouflage and padding to hide the finer points of a new model while it is out on the road. While it hides the details, it also makes it obvious that it is a test model.
Recently, we got a sneak peek at the upcoming all-new 2019 Silverado. Photographers recently caught the new model out testing and were able to capture a few shots of the truck with a lot of padding. However, from the details we can see, the new truck will gain a new headlight design, the side mirrors are being moved to the doors, there is a new grille design, and a larger air dam. Many of these features will seemingly help the truck be more aerodynamic to gain a few miles per gallon.
Another interesting detail captured was a side-exit exhaust. This could indicate that Chevrolet is testing a new engine for the Silverado 1500, which could either replace one of the existing engines or be a new available option.
While we don’t know when the 2018 Silverado will officially be unveiled, the North American International Auto Show held in Detroit in January is a likely bet.
Here at Stalker Chevrolet, we can’t wait to see what the next-generation Silverado has in store.
For the 2018 model year, the popular Chevrolet Equinox is getting some significant updates. The 2018 Equinox updates include styling, new engines, and more technology. It also loses some weight to the tune of 400 pounds, when compared to the outgoing model. This weight loss will help the Equinox be more efficient and buyers will appreciate that when they are at the pump.
From first glance, you can tell that the 2018 Equinox is something worth driving. Its sculpted design and signature lighting give it an upscale look and feel. And, with a wide range of colors to choose from, you can find the perfect Equinox to fit your personality. This sophisticated look and feel continues inside with lots of passenger space and available premium features.
Under the hood, buyers can choose from three engines. A turbocharged 1.5-liter engine comes standard, and delivers the ideal balance of efficiency and power. If you want more power, choose the 2.0-liter turbo that offers 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Finally, if efficiency is what you crave, the Equinox offers a 1.6-liter Turbo-Diesel that is expected to deliver a GM-estimated 40 mpg on the highway.*

The all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is making a splash – and not just in the auto industry. The fresh take on the iconic Camaro has inspired a clothing line created by Detroit designer Tommey Walker, Jr.
“With the all-new Camaro, the team set out to transcend the traditional ‘pony car’ and deliver a world-class performance car, regardless of segment,” said Steve Majoros, marketing director for Chevrolet cars, in a statement. “The Camaro is a worthy contender for any performance car, which is perfectly summed up by Tommey Walker’s trademark design.”
Dubbed the “Camaro vs. Everybody” apparel line, the sportswear mirrors the style of the original “Detroit vs. Everyone” line, which was originally developed to help rebuild the image of Walker’s hometown. His T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and jackets have been seen on celebrities, sports figures, and other public figures.
“Detroit vs. Everybody started as a way to express pride in my hometown,” said Walker. “Camaro vs. Everybody serves the same purpose for Camaro fans, who know their favorite sports car is second to none.”
The Chevrolet Malibu, Equinox, Silverado LD, and Spark ranked highest in their respective segments, while the Camaro, Impala, Silverado HD, Sonic, Traverse, and Tahoe all earned a Top 3 score for their segments.
“We are constantly challenging ourselves to bring to market the highest-quality products for our customers, regardless of the type of vehicle they purchase,” said Alan Batey, global Chevrolet president in a statement. “Quality studies like this one tell us we are moving in the right direction.”
The J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study surveys more than 86,000 car purchasers and lessees of new 2015 models at 90 days of ownership. The 233-question survey is designed to determine how happy buyers are with the quality of their brand-new vehicles, and provide feedback to car manufacturers so that timely improvements can be made.
