The Chevrolet Colorado has proven itself to be one of the most capable trucks in the industry, but now it’s facing its greatest challenge yet. The United States Army traverses some of the toughest landscapes that the world has to offer. As such, they need a vehicle that can conquer the roughest terrain imaginable. The Chevrolet Colorado ZH2 army truck is the vehicle for the job.
The Chevrolet Colorado ZH2 army truck is silent, sneaky, and tough. The model is powered by a hydrogen fuel-cell electric powertrain that’s silent and produces water as its only emission. That’s a near-180-degree turn, green-energy-wise, from the current diesel-powered Humvees the army currently uses.
The big Humvees haven’t given the army a reputation for being silent, but the Colorado ZH2 could change that. The large mud tires, silent powertrain, and near-invisible heat profile make it a hard vehicle to detect.
The prototype is currently undergoing a year of testing by the army in some of the roughest conditions imaginable. The truck will make its way to a number of army bases throughout the country as it proves it mettle time and time again.
If testing proves successful, we may very well be looking at the next generation of army transport vehicles.
We here at Stalker Chevrolet are proud to see such a capable truck undergoing testing in the field.

Chevrolet just proved that shock value is one of the best ways to be remembered. Before the kickoff of Super Bowl XLIX on NBC, Chevrolet made 100 million football fans scramble when the American carmakers advertisement for the Chevrolet Colorado made them believe their TVs had failed—only to show viewers that it was merely a commercial for the Chevrolet Colorado.
Called “Blackout,” for good reason, the Chevy Colorado Super Bowl commercial appeared to be a live game feed that transitioned into static, then a blank screen, mere minutes before the big game was set to start. It then transitioned into sharing that the Colorado has 4G LTE WiFi, making it the perfect pickup truck for a time like this.
With this jaw-dropping commercial, Chevrolet proved that you don’t necessarily need an advertisement during the Super Bowl to make a lasting impression. If you are interested in seeing the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado for yourself—especially to check on the built-in WiFi hotspot—stop in to Stalker Chevrolet today!
After a few years of hiatus the Chevy Colorado is back. The mid-size truck was removed from the US lineup in 2012, but is making a triumphant return this year.
General Motors just released pricing on the 2015 Chevy Colorado this week, placing a starting price of $20,995 on the extended-cab pickup.
Tony Johnson, Colorado marketing manager had this to say, “Colorado is an all-new midsize pickup that offers truck customers great versatility and great value.”
By value, Johnson is referring to standard features like a 200-horsepower 2.5L engine with direct fuel injection, a rear-vision camera with dynamic guide lines, and a locking tailgate. That value is increase when you factor in some of the available options – a 305-horsepower 3.6L V8, 4G LTE with built-in WiFi hotspot, GearOn™ accessory system, and a host of safety features.
Johnson also stated that the 2015 Chevy Colorado will “…have strong appeal for people who know they want a truck, but want one that is easier to maneuver in traffic and easier to park at work or at home.”
Like other Chevrolet trucks the Colorado will have a multiple cab configurations and box options.
102 years. That’s a long time for any organization. It’s even more impressive when you consider that Chevrolet has been through what many are calling a “resurgence”.
Chevy will have redesigned its entire truck line, with the reveal of the 2015 Chevy Colorado next week. The 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 used power, fuel economy, and an exterior and interior facelift to reestablish its spot as best full-sized truck. And the recently revealed 2015 Chevy Silverado HD features enhancements to make sure you can get the big boy jobs done right.
Speaking of the big boys, Chevrolet has also spent time renovating its crossovers and SUVs.
The legacy that is the Chevrolet Suburban is all-new for the 2015 model and so is the 2015 Tahoe. Chevy also took to redesigning the Traverse in 2012.
In the car segment, Chevy introduced the United States to the subcompact Spark last year and brought the all-electric Spark EV along this year. But the biggest news for Chevy cars was the completely redesigned 2014 Chevrolet Impala. The refined elegance, performance, technology, innovation, and more make the 2014 Impala a beautiful masterpiece in this namplates long line of icons.
Make no mistakes about the Chevrolet brand, Chevrolet still means amazing performance machines; big engines and fast cars. This is evident by Chevy’s three performance vehicles; the legends, Camaro and Corvettte, and the newcomer SS.
For Camaro, they’ve brought back the pure performance moniker Z/28. However, this isn’t just bringing back the name for nostalgia. The Camaro Z/28 is built for speed, handling, and performance. No excess here, just an aerodynamic Camaro built for the track sitting on Pirelli® PZERO™ Trofeo R tires.
Making waves in Chevy’s performance fleet is the all-new SS. The Chevy SS is the rear-wheel-drive V8 that Chevy fans have been waiting for 17 years.
And last but certainly not least. The flagship of Chevrolet performance. The iconic American sports car. The Chevrolet Corvette. This year the Corvette returned with its seventh body style and brought back the Stingray nameplate. And the 2014 Corvette Stingray is completely deserving of the name. A low aggressive stance with impressive lines and curves fueled by a 6.2L V8, makes the Corvette Stingray a precision speed machine.
With 102 years of experience the history of Chevrolet is undoubtedly guiding the decision of the present and future. And with a history like Chevrolet’s you can expect more great vehicles in the near future.
