Chevrolet just proved that shock value is one of the best ways to be remembered. Before the kickoff of Super Bowl XLIX on NBC, Chevrolet made 100 million football fans scramble when the American carmakers advertisement for the Chevrolet Colorado made them believe their TVs had failed—only to show viewers that it was merely a commercial for the Chevrolet Colorado.
Called “Blackout,” for good reason, the Chevy Colorado Super Bowl commercial appeared to be a live game feed that transitioned into static, then a blank screen, mere minutes before the big game was set to start. It then transitioned into sharing that the Colorado has 4G LTE WiFi, making it the perfect pickup truck for a time like this.
With this jaw-dropping commercial, Chevrolet proved that you don’t necessarily need an advertisement during the Super Bowl to make a lasting impression. If you are interested in seeing the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado for yourself—especially to check on the built-in WiFi hotspot—stop in to Stalker Chevrolet today!
Just like Super Bowl XLVII MVP, Baltimore Raves QB Joe Flacco, Seattle Seahawks linebacker Malcom Smith received an amazing vehicle from Chevrolet.
So in addition to winning Super Bowl XLVIII (48 for those who aren’t well versed in Roman numerals), getting a free trip to Disney World, and being award the Super Bowl MVP trophy – the 24 year-old California native will receive the 2014 Silverado High Country; Chevy’s first premium truck. Not a bad week.
The Silverado High Country features beautiful leather interior, equipped with 12-way adjustable heated and cooled front bucket seats – those may have come in handy after the game. The premium Bose® sound system and MyLink system with 8” diagonal color touch screen are just a few of the technology features present in the 2014 Silverado High Country.
But the Silverado High Country isn’t all about interior beauty and new technology. It’s still a Silverado, which means it’s built for work. Which means it comes loaded with the trailering package, automatic locking rear differential, 3.42 rear axle ratio, 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine, a high performance suspension package, and so much more.
Whether it’s the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray or the all-new 2014 Silverado High Country, Chevrolet is showing off its amazing innovation any way they can. Congratulations, Mr. Smith. Enjoy your new ride!
As you may or may not be aware, this Sunday the San Francisco 49ers face the Baltimore Ravens on the gridiron. The winner of this clash of titans will be awarded the coveted, Vince Lombardi Trophy, bestowed upon the World Champion each year.
However, there are several unique twists to Super Bowl XLVII (47 – for those who favor current mathematics).
Let’s start with the teams. Neither team has lost a Super Bowl. The 49ers are 5-0 and the Ravens are 1-0. The head coaches are brothers Jim and John Harbaugh, and both have made the playoffs in each season they’ve coached; winning at least one game every time.
But enough about the game let’s get to the good stuff. We all know it takes dedication, passion, hard work, and talent to become a Super Bowl MVP. These traits are also evident in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The all-new Corvette Stingray will be presented to the MVP of Super Bowl XVLII. How’s that for a good day. Super Bowl Champion (Most Likely, only one MVP has ever been on a losing team), Super Bowl MVP, oh and by the way you get an MVP trophy, trip to Disney World, and one of the most impressive machines known to man. That’s probably more than a good day, we’re thinking more along the lines of a good year…or life.
While we may not be able to get our hands on the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray just yet, we can assure you that when we do we’ll make sure to let you know so that you can stop by Stalker Chevrolet. That way you can be the first one to cruise around town in the latest in the iconic Corvette line.
